Dr Amanda Fincham BchD

After Qualifing in 1981 from Leeds Dental Institute, Amanda worked as a House Surgeon in Periodontology, Oral Surgery and Children’s dentistry at the same institute. Since then she has worked in general practice around Leeds; Eccleshill, Garforth, Drighlington, Moortown, and Meanwood. She has over 40 years experience providing general dentistry. She particularly enjoys coaching patients in optimising their oral health and preventing the development of dental disease. She joined the team at Chatsworth House in 2011 where has has continued to provide care for a large proportion of our patient base. 

Amanda enjoys her time with her 2 grown-up sons in Leeds. In her spare time, she enjoys like gardening, cooking, travel, photography, and wildlife.

Dr Alex Head BDS (Eng)

Originally a southerner, Alex qualified from Peninsula Dental School Plymouth in 2011. He followed his wife back to her home county of North Yorkshire to complete his Foundation Trainee year, and has worked here ever since.
He enjoys all aspects of general dentistry, especially endodontics (root canal therapy). Interested in education, he has been a foundation trainer of newly qualified dentists for 4 years.

He feels prevention is the most important part of what he does, educating patients in oral hygiene to help prevent problems.
Outside of dentistry he enjoys music, cooking and playing Lego with his children.

Dr Richa Sood BDS

Dr Richa Sood is a dental surgeon at Chatsworth House Dental Practice. She was trained at the prestigious Maxillofacial department at the All India Institute Medical Sciences in Delhi (widely regarded as one of the most competitive and prestigious centres in Asia). She passed her U.K dental equivalency examinations in 2005 and has gained experience at various dental practices in West Yorkshire and has been working as an associate dentist at Chatsworth House since 2017.

Her specialist interests include restorative dentistry and paediatric dentistry and she has extensive experience at complex dental extractions. She is well trained and experienced in all aspects of dentistry. She lives in North Leeds with her husband and 3 children. She enjoys cooking, travelling and skiing.

Dr. Prem Hunjan BDS(Lond)

Prem graduated from King’s College London in 2010. After graduating, he spent his first two years completing his foundation training alongside a Senior House Officer role in Maxillofacial surgery at York District Hospital.
Whilst in this post, he participated in writing various articles which were published in the British Journal of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery.
He also completed the examinations for the Diploma of Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery in Edinburgh (MFDS). Prem continued his career in general practice where he furthered his postgraduate education studying Restorative Dentistry with Basil Mizrahi in London.
Since 2016, he has been involved in Dental Foundation training. Selected practices and trainers are chosen by The Yorkshire deanery to take newly qualified dentists and assist them in the transition to general practice.
Prem has also furthered his post-graduate education in Implant Dentistry and now almost exclusively works in the field.  He not only services a number of clinics in North and West Yorkshire, but also takes referrals locally for the placement of dental implants at Chatsworth House.
